What is Pinch Valves?

Manufacturers, Supplier & Exporter of Pinch Valve In Gujarat, India.

Pinch Valves, also known as squeeze valves, are a low-cost piece of equipment that functions similarly to a tap. Pinch valves, also known as squeeze valves, rubber hose- or tube valves, are the ideal control valve solution for abrasive, corrosive, and fibrous products such as granulates, powders, and liquids containing solids. A pinch valve is a flex-body valve with a flexible tube that can be mechanically pushed together or “pinched” by a mechanism or by fluid pressure to create a full closure of the flow path. When closed, pinch valves control the flow of fluids (liquid, gas, or power) and provide a leak-proof seal.

Pinch valves offer media separation capability and are used in applications where critical fluids must be handled without direct contact to the media.

A Pinch Valve is used to control, stop, or start flow of liquids, powders, slurries, pastes, and many other corrosive or erosive materials through mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic action. By squeezing or closing an elastomer sleeve, the flow of material is shut off or controlled to prevent leaking into the environment and avoid contamination of materials flowing through the valve body. Since the design involves very few moving parts, no packing or seat that needs to be scraped or replaced during operation and minimal contact of the valve body to the flow material it’s no wonder these pinch valves can handle harsh environments.

They’re ideal for chemical processes, mining operations, waste-water treatment facilities, the pharmaceutical and food industries and for use in cement facilities and other applications that requires valves to handle erosive or abrasive media. Their inherent low wear, less maintenance, and reliable shutting of abrasive medias are among many of their positive attributes.

What is a Pinch Valve?

A pinch valve is a type of control valve that utilizes a flexible elastomer sleeve that can either close to block the flow or throttle the volume of liquids, slurries, powders, and other aggressive and abrasive fluids.

This valve works by external force being applied to the sleeve, which closes or “pinches” shut to regulate flow of the media. With the media only ever in contact with the valve sleeve, pinch valves offer good chemical and abrasion resistance.

Pinch valves also have simple construction, provide reliable sealing, and require minimal maintenance making them the valve of choice for aggressive industrial applications. Industrial Applications Pinch valves are utilized throughout a variety of industries including chemical processing, mining, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food production, cement, power generation and many others.

They provide a simple, effective solution for a wide range of media that may be particularly abrasive or corrosive, and in cases where traditional valves would have a shorter service life. The benefits of pinch valves, including durability and their leak-proof design and operation, translate to increased process efficiency and lower maintenance expenses.
